Break Down Assembly

Break Down delivers positive message to students

Pueblo students had the opportunity to see two performances from Break Down Tucson.

BreakDown is a team of young people who bring the powerful and dynamic message of hope and freedom to a generation of young people looking for the REAL thing. This fast-paced, high-energy performance, designed specifically for today’s digital generation, was created to break down the lies that our sexually saturated culture has been telling our youth for years!

This presentation tackles tough issues such as drugs and alcohol, rape, sexual abstinence until marriage, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV, second chances, unhealthy and abusive relationships, pornography, self-esteem, TRUE sexual freedom and much more.  BreakDown will shock, challenge, and inspire even the most skeptical teen.

Gilbert Manzanares came to Pueblo to share a personal message to our Seniors about the danger of Drinking & Driving.

With Prom and Graduation approaching, this information will teach our students the consequences of driving while intoxicated and help them make the right decision when faced with these situations.

Gilbert stressed the importance of realizing how your life will change in an instant, if you choose to drive drunk.

Surprise At Spirit Assembly

Wilcats & Warriors Cheerleaders
Wilcats & Warriors Cheerleaders

Students were suprised to see some of the University of Arizona Cheerleaders and Wilbur mix it up at our Spring Sports Assembly.  The assembly was to recognize spring sports and promote school spirit.

Students cheered as the Warrior Band played “Bear Down Arizona” and the U of A Cheerleaders were being tossed in the air for some high flying stunts. Later they joined the Spirit Man in a class competition of the Warrior Fight Song.

The Sophomore Class of 2011 was crowned victorious of the Spirit Stick and they rushed the floor in celebration.

What were your thoughts on the assembly? Leave a comment below.

Some Disc Jockeys from Hot 98.3 stopped by the radio station to see our students and get a tour of our studios. D-Wayne Chavez, DJ Pablo & Hospe did some interviews, took some pictures and even did a live segment in our booth.

They invited our kids to visit their studios in the near future. I’m sure they will be taking advantage of that opportunity.

(Hot 98.3 was here as part of our quarterly Career Fair held during both lunches.)
