The 40 participants from the region were from the west and east campuses of the <a title=\"JTED Fire Program\" href=\"http:\/\/pimajted.org\/program\/32\/32\">JTED Fire Program <\/a>including 6 from Pueblo&#8217;s Fire Program.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0competition included the following events: ropes\u00a0&amp; knot tying, hose rolling, breathing apparatus timed competition, climbing a ladder with tools in hand and a victim drag with a 200 lb. dummy.<\/p>\n<p>The day culminated with a Fire Fighter Combat Challenge\u00a0that mixed\u00a0Pueblo students\u00a0with JTED students and\u00a0a very\u00a0delicious barbeque.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1709\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1709\" style=\"width: 440px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Pueblo-Fire-Science-At-SkillsUSA1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[1707]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1709\" title=\"Pueblo Fire Science At SkillsUSA\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Pueblo-Fire-Science-At-SkillsUSA1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1709\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pueblo Fire Science At SkillsUSA Competition<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We are\u00a0very\u00a0ecstatic to\u00a0announce that our team made Pueblo proud. Out of the top 10 scores, we had 4 of our 6 participants in the following places:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First Place-<\/strong> Carlos Meraz (Senior) &#8211;\u00a02nd\u00a0year in the program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Second Place-<\/strong> Juan Aguilar (Freshman) -1st year in the program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fifth Place-<\/strong>Victor Grutzius (Junior) -2nd year in the program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sixth Place-<\/strong> Luis Mendivil (Freshman) -1st year in the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manuel Cedre\u00a0&amp; Hector Ortega made a great showing and just missed being in the Top 10.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the\u00a0Pueblo Fire Science Program!\u00a0They showed up at the competition with\u00a0one thing on their minds and that was to put Pueblo Fire on the map.
