{"id":1808,"date":"2012-11-13T11:17:41","date_gmt":"2012-11-13T18:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/?p=1808"},"modified":"2012-11-16T14:48:23","modified_gmt":"2012-11-16T21:48:23","slug":"pueblo-bobcat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/2012\/11\/pueblo-bobcat\/","title":{"rendered":"Pueblo Bobcat"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1809\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1809\" style=\"width: 440px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Bobcat-Spotted-At-Pueblo-High-School.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[1808]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1809\" title=\"Bobcat Spotted At Pueblo High School\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Bobcat-Spotted-At-Pueblo-High-School.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1809\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bobcat resting in the tree<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At approximately 7:15 a.m. on November 13, 2012, two students spotted a bobcat on our campus near the auditorium construction site.\u00a0 Administrators quickly\u00a0contacted Animal Control and School Safety.\u00a0 School Safety secured the area until Period 2 began and students were in class.<\/p>\n<p>At 9:07 a.m.\u00a0Pueblo implemented a lock down so that when the bobcat was tranquilized, there would not be any danger to our students.\u00a0\u00a0 After three tranquilizer shots and 75 minutes for them to take effect, the bobcat appeared on the roof and fell asleep.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The bobcat was secured in a crate by Animal Control and the lockdown was ended.\u00a0 Animal Control\u00a0plans to\u00a0release the bobcat near the Tortolita Mountains.<\/p>\n<p>In September of 2010, a <a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/2010\/09\/pueblo-raccoon\/\">raccoon visited our campus<\/a> and now we can add a bobcat to that list.\u00a0\u00a0We\u00a0assume\u00a0they want to be Warriors too!<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy of Karina Del Campo (Class Of 2015)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At approximately 7:15 a.m. on November 13, 2012, two students spotted a bobcat on our campus near the auditorium construction site.\u00a0 Administrators quickly\u00a0contacted Animal Control and School Safety.\u00a0 School Safety secured the area until Period 2 began and students were in class.
