The Warriors are set to kick off against the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 440px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Pueblo-High-School-Football-Coach-Brandon-Sanders.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[2125]\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Pueblo High School Football Coach Brandon Sanders\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Pueblo-High-School-Football-Coach-Brandon-Sanders-500x423.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Football Coach Brandon Sanders<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pueblo\u2019s Head Coach and the school\u2019s Athletic Director Brandon Sanders constructed the schedule to have Catalina Foothills be their first challenge. The Falcons are a Division 3 school, and Pueblo is in Division 4. Sanders was the Falcons\u2019 assistant coach two years ago where he learned how to build a program from coach Jeff Scurran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re trying hard to work to be that kind of program [like Catalina Foothills],\u201d Sanders said. \u201cMr. Scurran built multiple programs, built them up to state champs. All you can do is learn from a guy like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Junior and lineman Michael Beltran said, \u201cI feel it\u2019s going to be a great fight [tonight], but in the end, we are going to be the team that wants it more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors believe that last season\u2019s record has set a precedence for the future. The team plans to make it to playoffs this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best view comes from the hardest climb,\u201d said senior Gustavo Zubiri. \u201cPueblo has not been to playoffs since 1990, but we are working hard to change that this season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur pride for our team and our school has grown so much in the past few years,\u201d said senior Frankie Gomez.
