Their first meeting was on Sept. 2, when they discussed their first hike to Tumomac Hill. The club meets on the first Thursday of each month to discuss their next hike, and on the third Saturday of each month, the actual hike takes place, normally at 8 a.m. Transportation is provided, and each hike takes about 1-2 hours.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2276\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2276\" style=\"width: 280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Pueblo-Hiking-Club-Flier-2015.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[2274]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2276\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Pueblo-Hiking-Club-Flier-2015-328x500.jpg\" alt=\"Pueblo Hiking Club Flier 2015\" width=\"280\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Pueblo-Hiking-Club-Flier-2015-328x500.jpg 328w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Pueblo-Hiking-Club-Flier-2015-361x550.jpg 361w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Pueblo-Hiking-Club-Flier-2015.jpg 418w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2276\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Join the Hiking Club<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>President Luis Molina, a senior, encourages students to join because \u201cit\u2019s a lot of fun, and the more the merrier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe purpose of this club is to gain appreciation for nature and to interact with one another,\u201d said Somoza.<\/p>\n<p>As the year goes on, Somoza explained that the hikes will eventually become more complex.
