<\/a>Pueblo High\nSchool\u2019s girls\u2019 soccer team kicked off their season last semester, on Nov. 25,\nat a tournament at Amphi High School in which the team advanced to finals; unfortunately,\nthey lost. However, our fearless lady Warriors did not let that stop them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite\nhard work, the team had a disappointing record of 5-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Liliana\nOrdu\u00f1a said, \u201cOur season went well, but we still could have improved a lot throughout\nthe season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout\nthis challenging season, the girls\u2019 soccer team worked continuously on becoming\nmore competitive and communicative; they also improved upon their chemistry as\na team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another\nplayer, senior Jasmine Marin, said, \u201cA lot of people doubted us, but we persevered,”\nsaid Marin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach\nCelisaRamirez has been coaching this team for two years, and she hopes that\nthe girls learned from their mistakes and also from their many strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said,\n\u201cMissing practices really affected us, although the girls who did show up for\npractice showed the most strength on the team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I\nhope I can continue to create fun memories for the girls next year,\u201d said Coach\nRamirez. \u201cI don\u2019t want any of them to believe in giving up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said,\n\u201cNext year, I would like to see a small squad and more dedicated players.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
