{"id":3513,"date":"2021-12-16T10:24:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T17:24:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/?p=3513"},"modified":"2021-12-16T10:25:23","modified_gmt":"2021-12-16T17:25:23","slug":"pueblo-congratulates-the-class-of-2021-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/2021\/12\/pueblo-congratulates-the-class-of-2021-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Pueblo Congratulates The Class Of \u20182021.5\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Dayanara Gonzalez &amp; Isaiah Sotelo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like every school year, students come in as freshmen and graduate as seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This school year, a handful of last semester\u2019s seniors needed an extra four months to finalize their credit requirements before heading off into their next chapters of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pueblo High School congratulates the following five students for their dedication and tenacity to earn their last few credits: Brian Soto Flores, Jason Daniel Cantua Beltran, George Cavin Molina, Miguel Alberto Perez and Juliana Eleanor Norris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These five seniors will graduate on Dec. 16 along with other graduates across the district at a<a href=\"https:\/\/livestream.com\/accounts\/684952\/events\/9991143\"> formal ceremony at Santa Rita High School at 6 p.m.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited about graduating,\u201d said Flores. \u201cI&#8217;m looking forward to graduating because there were a few times I wanted to give up. Through a lot of self-dedication and encouragement from awesome teachers, I will be holding my diploma soon. I can then start my new life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each of these five students, their adventure and commitment to graduate was a different story. Each student had his or her own obstacles to overcome and conquer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI might be graduating later than I had hoped, but sometimes other events intervene,\u201d said Juliana Norris. \u201cI just want to say that COVID-19 impacted a lot of people\u2014especially me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a little more time than most seniors to ponder the future, all five of these graduates have definite plans for their futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-medium is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[3513]\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021-500x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3514\" width=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021-500x500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021-550x550.jpg 550w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/George-Molina-Pueblo-Class-Of-2021.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>George Molina<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am committed to joining the Marines,\u201d said George Molina. \u201cI\u2019m going to have a few months to prepare for this new adventure before heading off to bootcamp.\u201d He added, \u201cMy plans are to eventually become an audio engineer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flores said, \u201cI hope to leave Tucson and head up to Phoenix and begin a new life there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As these five graduates are ready to venture out into their new worlds, they are not without gratitude for their teachers who pushed them to this golden moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to thank Mr. Medhi for the last four years,\u201d Flores said. \u201cI\u2019m glad I got to spend time in his classes, learning how to be a better writer.
