She added that every year during her years at PHS was different because every year brought new kids and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undoubtedly, Bellay\u2019s legacy will continue to grow as the years pass. Her campus security colleagues echoed the same sentiment regarding Bellay: \u201cWhen Vickie was around, stuff would get done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Nora Monge, campus monitor, said, \u201cShe [Vickie] is number one, and she has no idea how much she is going to be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another monitor, Ms. Nellie Rivera, said, \u201cWe\u2019ll miss Vickie a lot, but hopefully we\u2019ll see each other throughout the years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellay said upon leaving Pueblo, \u201cI hope students will understand why I was so strict. I was doing my job to uphold the rules and policies, and I treated everybody equally. I was always objective\u2014with everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added that being with students and seeing their success and their academic pursuits was one of the most rewarding parts of her job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellay said, \u201cGoing to work at Pueblo was my job, but it was always a joy, and I always took my role very seriously. All I wanted for students was to see them become successful.
