There\u2019s a lot to look forward to in \u201924 including a Leap Year Day (Feb. 29), presidential primaries and the big election in November, the Summer Olympics and of course graduation day on May 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, the Pueblo Community makes resolutions to better their lives. Here is a compilation of some of them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edward Gomez (senior): \u201cI hope to commit to a sturdy career plan after high school.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexis Campbell (counselor): \u201cTo exercise and spend more time with family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dominic Arambula (freshman): \u201cTo lose more weight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jose Alvarez (counselor): \u201cGo camping once and return to hiking frequently.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cristain Portillo (senior): \u201cTo graduate this May!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nebai Merino (senior): &#8220;Invest in myself and my future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tati Lopez (senior): \u201cBe open to everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annluise Santos (senior): &#8220;Put myself first.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Karla Martinez (Assistant Principal): \u201cTo say \u2018I love you\u2019 and \u2018Thank you\u2019 more often.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Jeniffer Mayersohn (Assistant Principal): \u201cTo be a better person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jasel Siliva (senior): \u201cTo draw more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ruby Avyote (freshmen): \u201cTo not have too many absences.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Simon Arrola (PHS Dean): \u201cTo make sure all my family members are safe and happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Toby Manthai (social worker): \u201cSpend less money and save more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ricardo Alvarez (senior): \u201cTo learn more music theory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ruben Arambula (junior): \u201cTo try harder in school.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Rana Medhi (journalism teacher): \u201cTo commit to retirement\u2014and to mean it this time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kimora Wilson (junior): \u201cI want to eat healthier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adriell Salazar (sophomore): \u201cTo focus on my classes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leodardo Santa Maria (junior): \u201cTo go to the gym more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Rosaria Hutchings: \u201cExercise more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baiza Medeina (junior): \u201cTo work on myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juliana Baeverien (junior): \u201cTo better my health and myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. William Hill (English teacher): \u201cTo get more physically fit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juju Ballesteros (senior): \u201cTo earn more money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rodrigo Arcocha (freshman): \u201cTo earn straight A\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miriam Rivera (senior): \u201cTo actually show up to school every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrew Chagolla (senior): \u201cI want to try to enjoy life more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giancarlo Jaimes (sophomore): \u201cTo earn better grades than last year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomas Almeida (junior): \u201cTo get my money up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ylisses Ortega (freshman): \u201cTo stop saying the \u2018N\u2019 word.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lourdes Mendez (senior): \u201cTo save up money for a car.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Marsha-Jean Burrola (PHS librarian): \u201cTo throw away extra items that I don\u2019t need.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Compiled by Alyvette Moreno &amp; Jenna Twaje The New Year is upon us, as is the Chinese New Year (the Year of the Dragon!) on Feb. 10.
