{"id":3872,"date":"2024-03-07T11:30:09","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T18:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/?p=3872"},"modified":"2024-03-07T11:30:09","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T18:30:09","slug":"cafeteria-gets-final-remodel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/2024\/03\/cafeteria-gets-final-remodel\/","title":{"rendered":"Cafeteria Gets Final Remodel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Sofia Larribas &amp; Jessica Palomares<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[3872]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024-550x413.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3873\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024-550x413.jpg 550w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pueblo-High-School-Cafeteria-2024.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Despite all the work that was completed to Pueblo High School&#8217;s cafeteria last summer, there were some residual remodeling projects; during winter break, the final details were added, including new tables and chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his continued efforts to improve archaic infrastructure at Pueblo, Principal Frank Rosthenhausler had applied for a grant and was awarded $225,000 and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to direct the funds to the cafeteria renovation project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosthenhausler stated, \u201cThe idea of the renovation came about last year, I saw that there were areas that needed improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosthenhausler said, \u201cWe wanted to make the cafeteria look truly artistic, and the shades of orange chosen on the soft seating in the cafeteria also affect mood.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Rosthenhausler found a West Coast designer, Ella, to come up with models for the new look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are plans for a big TV to go in the cafeteria that was donated to us by Lapan Foundation, a generous organization that provides students with scholarships and mentorships, but other than that, the project is pretty much done,\u201d Rosthenhausler stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cafeteria employee Mr. Rafael Garcia thinks the cafeteria looks nice, but it is also harder to clean because of all the chairs because a lot of the kids move the chairs to other tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One cafeteria employee, Ms. Sonia Lopez, said, \u201cI love the renovation, I think it looks beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sofia Larribas &amp; Jessica Palomares Despite all the work that was completed to Pueblo High School&#8217;s cafeteria last summer, there were some residual remodeling projects; during winter break, the final details were added, including new tables and chairs.
