{"id":3906,"date":"2024-05-01T10:57:20","date_gmt":"2024-05-01T17:57:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/?p=3906"},"modified":"2024-05-07T11:14:08","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T18:14:08","slug":"pueblo-groups-entertain-crowd-at-99th-annual-rodeo-parade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/2024\/05\/pueblo-groups-entertain-crowd-at-99th-annual-rodeo-parade\/","title":{"rendered":"Pueblo Groups Entertain Crowd At 99th Annual Rodeo Parade"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Jenna Twaje<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"367\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Pueblo-Band-At-Rodeo-Parade-2024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3907\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>This past Feb. 22 marked Tucson\u2019s 99th annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo (simply known as just \u201cthe Rodeo\u201d), and for the past nearly 60 years, Pueblo High School students have performed in this Southern Arizona iconic event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Pueblo\u2019s Cheer, Mariachi Aztl\u00e1n and Band entertained the crowd from 12th Avenue all the way back to the rodeos grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesenia Martinez, Pueblo\u2019s Cheer coach, enjoyed the experience there. With the team practicing for a few weeks, she praised her team for doing a \u201cgreat job.\u201d She added that she loved seeing family and friends in the crowd waving and supporting our Warriors.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"318\" height=\"406\" src=\"https:\/\/pueblowarriors.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Pueblo-Pomline-At-Rodeo-Parade-2024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3908\" style=\"width:225px\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Pueblo\u2019s band teacher Mr. John Guzman said his class had also performed \u201cvery well\u201d throughout the parade. He admitted that the team worked very hard and there was a lot of preparation for the rodeo parade, conditioning his class for the three-mile march.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior Alexis Vargas, a member of Mariachi Aztl\u00e1n group, had practiced with her class for a week before the rodeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis was my second appearance at the rodeo,\u201d Vargas said, \u201cand I really tried to soak it all in since it\u2019s my senior year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next year\u2019s La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo will be celebrating its centennial (100th) year, and Pueblo High School will be sure to be part of the festivities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Jenna Twaje This past Feb. 22 marked Tucson\u2019s 99th annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo (simply known as just \u201cthe Rodeo\u201d), and for the past nearly 60 years, Pueblo High School students have performed in this Southern Arizona iconic event.
