Dr. Lettes attended the Biotechnology Institute in Chicago over the weekend. He presented to 100 biotechnology teachers from the United States, and 100 science teachers from the Chicago area.
The title of his presentation was Biotechnology, A Mission In South Tucson. He was delighted to speak about our students who have enrolled in the Biotechnology Program.

Danny Corrales, from the Class of 2002, made a guest appearance on Warrior News today. Danny is currently an Associate Producer at ESPN and works on SportsNation. He offered some great insight to the advanced class media students and shared some great from his different work experiences.
Brian Ortega interviewed Danny on-air and asked him for advice on a future career in media:

Pueblo has started the interview process for our new Principal. The search committee met today for the 1st round of interviews.
Pueblo had a considerable amount of applicants from various backgrounds. This round of interviews will determine the top applicants that will move on to the 2nd round of interviews to be conducted by the Assistant Superintendent.
We will keep you informed with the latest on the search for Pueblo’s new leader.
This years Prom was held downtown at the Tucson Convention Center Copper Ballroom. The theme was Escape To Sin City and the ballroom had casino decor. About 240 Warriors attended and danced to the music of
Mina Trivedi, an Ultrasound Technician of M & B Image Corporation, came to Pueblo today and presented career information to some of our Anatomy students today.
Mina demonstrated different ultrasound procedures with her portable machine that cost more the $50,000. The images and sounds from the machine were amazing.
She started with images of the carotid artery and then the heart. Other students volunteered to get their kidney and gallbladder scanned. Here’s a small video of some images of the valves in the heart in action:
The demonstrations gave students an idea of the various procedures ultrasound technicians perform. Mina summarized the schooling required and stated how this career field is growing.
