After a great individual season for Junior Michael Perez, awards recognizing his efforts keep coming in.

The Arizona Republic just recently announced the all-state basketball selections and Michael was selected 1st Team 4-A.

Here’s a list of other awards Michael has received after 2008-08 season:

Head Basketball Coach Gary Crane said, “I believe the last such basketball player to receive such an array of awards was Lafayette “Fat” Lever (1978), after whom our gymnasium is named.”

Pueblo held its 4th Quarter Career Fair inviting representatives from Health & Human Services to talk to our students during both lunches. Representatives from the following were present:

Sign-up for Warrior Weekend Academy for Pueblo Students only. You can earn a half-credit of English, Algebra, or Geometry in only 15-21 hours!

Available Dates:

English – Session 3:
April 16th from 5 – 8 PM, April 18th & 25th from 9 – 3:30 PM

English – Session 4:
April 30th from 5 – 8 PM, May 2nd & May 9th from 9 – 3:30 PM

Algebra 1 – Session 1:
April 14th from 5 – 8 PM, April 18th & 25th from 9 – 3:30 PM

Algebra 2 – Session 2:
April 3oth from 5 – 8 PM, May 2nd & May 9th from 9 – 3:30 PM

Geometry 1 – Session 1:
April 14th, 21st, & 23rd from 3 – 6 PM, April 18th & 25th from 9 – 3:30 PM

Geometry 2 – Session 2:
April 30th, May 5th & 7th 3 – 6 PM, May 2nd & May 9th 9 – 3:30 PM

Cost is $75 per half credit. Space is extremely limited! Only fifteen students per session!

Mr. Steven Reff Finalist For Award

Steven ReffSteven Reff, a Pueblo teacher of Free Enterprise and Economics, is a finalist for the Five Star Faculty Award, sponsored by the Honors College of the University of Arizona.  The award honors excellence in undergraduate teaching at the university and is the only award determined entirely by students.

The final selection process will include classroom observations, student evaluations and a half-hour interview. There was no deadline given as to when the winner will be announced.

Congratulations to Mr. Reff and we will keep you posted.
