Meet Wally & Wonda Warrior

After much debate, surveys, voting & many other obstacles, our new mascots Wally & Wonda Warrior made their grand entrance today during both lunches.

Students gathered to greet our new head cheerleaders. They will be representing Pueblo at school sporting events and functions.

Everyone wanted to take pictures with Wally & Wonda!

We are looking forward to the Warrior Spirit our new mascots will promote.

What do you think of the new mascots?

  1. As a Pueblo Warrior from the class of 1989 I cannot accept these mascots as a representation of Pueblo. The Warrior was never meant to be an insult, it meant you fought for your future. Most of the school has indigenous blood running in their veins. The Warrior was proud and strong, never weak. My warrior will always and forever be that beautiful mural you took down in front of the school. Once a Warrior always a Warrior.

  2. The Pueblo Poochies? Dogs? Coyotes? Foxes? Those don’t look like Warriors to me…shameful.

  3. I’m with Diana and Gary… Even though i’m c/o 2012, I’m sure as heck NOT a “Warrior Pooch”.

    I’m just a Warrior. 🙂

  4. Wow I can’t believe they replaced the warrior we have all known and been proud of for fifty years with a couple of dogs . What about them shows warriors anyways it looks like we copied the U of A .its horrible .

  5. These mascots are a poor excuse of Pueblo pride. I have always thought of the Pueblo Warrior as an Aztec Warrior, but no we are so quick to cry out poor me than to see what other possibilities there may be.
    Class of 90′
