Warrior Mascot Voting To Continue

After two days of voting at the polling place in the auditorium from 2:30-6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, only 300 votes were cast. Administration and Student Council have decided to allow additional time to vote during both lunches on Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5.

Students must have their school ID to vote during that time so Student Council can ensure they are actually students at Pueblo and that they do not vote twice.

  1. To have removed the panda was a mistake… It was going to win, and just because of a show that was made 10 years ago, it was removed? The panda was a major mascot, and would represent Pueblo Warriors, better then anything else.

  2. Pueblo should ressurect our ‘original’ mascot. If my history serves me right, didn’t the Native Americans grant us permission to purchase a piece of their land, to build our High School and as a added incentive we would name our mascot in rememberence to the Native Americans. BRING BACK WALLY THE WARRIOR! Please.

  3. James Valenzuela Class of 86, We need the help of the current student body to help the PHS Alumni bring back a symbol of GREAT honor and respect, Wally Warrior. There is SO MUCH tradition in this symbol and is NOT disrespectful to Native Americans. I have talked to many Native American brothers and sisters, and they all agree. We are MORE than a symbol but this symbol to over 30,000 Alumni means everything to them. Please pass the word around to bring back Wally Warrior. We need your help !!!
