As part of a counselor outreach program, they recently served breakfast on 3 occasions for about 60 guests. They would prepare a menu for each session and purchase ingredients accordingly. Cooking would begin before sunrise at 6:00 a.m. in order to have food ready for our guests.
On this occasion the menu included: chilaquiles topped with queso fresco, scrambled eggs with nopalitos, frijoles, tortillas and a chilled glass of orange juice or coffee.

The Arizona Daily Star will be running a story on the positive, negative & neutral effects of the court-ordered TUSD Desegregation. We encourage anyone with thoughts on this matter to share them and contribute to the story. The following is the excerpt of the request on their online site:
Some of you were bused to schools across town because of your race.
Some of you attended distant magnet schools created to integrate the races.
Some of your kids couldn’t attend their preferred schools because of their race.
Some teachers were transferred because of their race.
The effects — positive, negative and neutral — of the desegregation of Tucson Unified School District reverberated across Tucson for a generation. After 31 years, the court-ordered desegregation ended in December (though the tax levy established to integrate the district lives on).
We’d like to hear your experiences of desegregation for an upcoming story. Please write them in the comments here, email them to tsteller@azstarnet.com or call 807-8427.
Warriors gathered at the Winter Spirit Assembly to recognize Basketball, Soccer & others. Mariachi Aztlan started things off by playing the National Anthem.
Student & Employees of the Month were also announced by Mrs. Dienz and representatives of State Farm. A big thank you to them for their generosity.
Seniors look on at the basketball challenge.
Performance highlights included Ixora, Warrior Drumline and Spirit Woman. The 2010 Senior class was once again victorious of the Spirit Stick. That’s two in a row for them.
All classes were wearing different colors to represent different causes. Donation quantities were announced and Seniors donated the most to Cancer Research. Everyone wins in this activity. Way to go Warriors!
