Great Buddha
Kaminarimon Gate

My daughter & I spent 5 days in Japan, mostly Tokyo.  We stayed in the Asakusa area .  There was a major temple area (Senso-ji Temple) 2 blocks from our hotel– where many of the temple pictures were taken.  We also walked through the Imperial Gardens at the Imperial Palace, Ueno Park, Harajuko shopping area, and we also visited the Great Buddha of Kamakura – the capital of Japan several centuries ago. Homecoming Night 2010-2011

Pueblo had a big turnout during Homecoming Night. The night started with great entertainment in the Patio provided by the Warrior Marching Band, Ixora, Pistor Dance & many more.  Many students took the opportunity to take big swings at the Badger Mobile.  Clubs sold food and snacks during the tailgate party as fundraisers.

Warrior Football hosted the Tucson Badgers.  It was a close game won by the Badgers 19-12.  Fans on both sides of the field supported their teams efforts.  A new section on the home side grandstand was reserved for the Blue Man Crew, Pueblo’s most spirited Warriors!

During halftime, Royalty was announced and here are your winners:

Borderlands Collaboration Play

Borderlands Theater produced a play using the voices of youth throughout Tucson and a number of our Pueblo Students participated in workshops to contribute to this theater piece.

Pueblo students that participated in the workshops

Pueblo was the first to preview the play and about 6 classes attended. After the conclusion of the play, the actors conducted a Q & A with the students. The actors stressed to everyone with an interest in theater to get involved with some Tucson Theater Groups.

This collaboration was made possible by Borderlands Education Outreach Program which serves both youth and the general audience with special matinee performances, audience talkbacks, study guides and other activities.
